AWOL by Brigid Maher, 2005, 20 min Keisha Johnson, as African American soldier, goes AWOL in Iraq after she flees a violent accident. On her “walkabout” journey, she encounters children who decide to help her despite their fear. Keisha and the children grow to understand each other despite the political barriers that have torn their lives apart. (Director will be present for questions and answers)
